Veterans are the ones who worked to support and defend their country. Since these people lived their conviction openly courageously, they re-wrote history unintentionally, and we Americans admire those patriots who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Day of Heroes is the day we set aside to commemorate those who served, but not all bloodshed is protected by one day. The day is not enough to display the gratitude of the countless courageous men and women. The Americans should do more to give their veterans respect.
After the many rough, sweaty days with your friends around you battling against the enemy, the battle eventually ends. A soldier goes home, but others won’t be so lucky. It means becoming a veteran. Many people would say it’s a uniform and a gun against an enemy, but it’s so much more. It represents your country and stands up for what you believe is right.
