Christmas is my favorite holiday because it is a time to be with family, exchange gifts, and eat good food. I love spending time with my parents, grandparents, and cousins. My father would take all of us children to the corner store in order to buy the fattest tree available. We’d decorate the tree with one long strand of lights that had blue bulbs burned out, which we got from there. I liked going up to our home at night and seeing the colors flicker from all of the outside decorations.

My family comes together once a year and the household is soon filled with booze. We make cocktails and watch a slew of Christmas films all day and night. It’s time for bed when someone breaks something, though. My favorite Christmas films are Bad Santa and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Santa is such a dick in Bad Santa and I love it. And The Nightmare Before Christmas is just so dark and twisted, I can’t get enough of it. Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. There’s just something about getting together with family, drinking, and watching Christmas movies that I can’t resist.
