Fear the Power

Goodbye boys, Im going to the mall for about two hours, dont get into any trouble when Im gone! My mom yelled as she slammed the door and went to the mall. She took my dads 1997 Chevy that would be just perfect for everything that she would buy there. And my dad was asleep on the couch after watching three hours of wrestling. Me and Johnny sat there bored out of our minds, two twelve-year-old boys with nothing to do.

Hey, didnt your parents just get that new 2001 Toyota Corolla that they hardly ever drive? Johnny asked me. Ya, why? I said with fear. Well your dad is zonked out on the couch for at least an hour, and your mom just went to the mall for two hours, what more of a perfect chance will we ever get to take that baby for a spin around town for a while? I mean we play those racing games at the arcade all the time, how much different can it be? And its not really that much bigger than the go-carts at Fun Land, so come on, lets do it!!! I sat there wondering if he was serious or not, until I decided that it might not be that bad of an idea.

Before I knew it, we were peeling out of the garage driving down my street doing 40 when the speed limit was 25. W stopped at the first set of lights and just sat there staring at the car in front of us. When I looked at him I realized that the police chief Wiggam was trying to tell me to get out of the car. I looked in front of me again and as soon as the light turned green I pushed the gas pedal to the floor and sped through the intersection running over a curb and driving straight into the park!

We ran over a fence and some kids bike, right as I pushed down on the break, I ran over a teeter-totter and broke one half of it. Me and Johnny looked up just in time to see Johnnys little sister go flying off of the teeter-totter and into a bunch of pine trees. Throwing us into the back of his car, we both sat there in hand cuffs waiting a see if we would live through this disaster. But poor Johnnys sister had not only flew into a bunch of pine trees, but she had hit every branch on the way down, landed on the bike that I had ran over, and got hit by Chief Wiggams car while he was chasing us into the park.

But lucky for us, there was an ambulance that was passing by and stopped to help us. So to make a long story short, I got grounded for a year, and have to be babysat until I was 16, Johnny had to visit his sister in the hospital for the next 6 months, and bring her flowers and a balloon. The insurance paid for the accident and all of the damage that it caused. So the next time you see two twelve-year-old boys behind the wheel of a Toyota Corolla, fear the power!
