For various purposes, people may be inspired to take vengeance on others. Although these motives can be considered rather serious or very trivial, both are grounds for revenge. Vengeance happens when a person has been insulted or upset with a person and they want to repay the victim. People’s views on vengeance vary, some may think it’s justified and some may not.
Mahatma Gandhi believed revenge is not the solution and said: “An eye for an eye blinds the whole world.” This quotation reflects the view that if everyone gets even then there won’t be anybody else; if we all look to the eye everybody is blind. Revenge can be experienced from real life and fiction and can be seen as revenge or unacceptable. It is hard to decide whether revenge can be justified but is vengeance always worth it?
