Emotional intelligence is a capacity for emotions to be interpreted, emotions to be accessed, emotions to be produced in order to support the thinking and emotional awareness to understand and emotions to be reflective in order to encourage emotional and intellectual growth (Mayer & Salovey, 1997).
Emotional intelligence is our ability to perceive, acknowledge and appreciate our own emotion and emotions and to use this information to strengthen our attitudes, as well as to maintain and develop our relationship with others. It is basically the capacity to understand our own feelings and others, to inspire us, to control emotions well within us and in our ties.
