Television As A Social Power

Sexism is the discrimination and/or stereotyping of the opposite sex. It has been prominent in the past and is still prevalent in todays society. Usually sexism and sexual discrimination is used in context with females, however, males are also subject to sexism. The common prejudices and stereotyping are the gender roles: Males are the dominant sex who are supposed to earn the money and females are the quiet housewives who should support their men, views and feelings of the sex are still unbalanced and unfair.

Whether we like it or not, it is a male dominated world. It has been since the beginning of time. Times have changed, and so, too, should the views of genders. Men dont have to be the moneymakers, and women dont have to be the housewives. Women should be given all of the rights given to men, but also should receive all the responsibilities of males. We should all open our minds and respect the uniqueness of our sex, but should also understand the other sex. We are all equal.
