History of Led Zeppelin

Some of Led Zeppelin’s influences include: The Beetles, The Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley. After Led Zeppelin, Jones played with a number of artists and bands including: R. E. M, Heart, Ben E. King, Off Fighters and many more. John Paul was the bassist Of Led Zeppelin was born John Baldwin on January 3, 1946 in Suicide/Kent England. John Paul Jones was also the keyboardist of Led Zeppelin. When John was 14 years old (in 1 950) he bought his first bass guitar and played it up until 1975.

John decided he would take up bass after hearing Phil Upchuck a local bassist from Chicago who had a major influence on John. Robert Anthony Plan was the lead vocalist of Led Zeppelin. Born on August 20 1948 in West Bromidic England, Robert was known as being the lead vocalist of Led Zeppelin. Robert is notorious for his powerful style, mystical lyrics and his very wide vocal range. After the break up of the band in 1980, Robert pursued a successful solo career beginning with his first solo album: “Pictures at Eleven”.

Today, Plant has been recording music with bluegrass star Alison Krause, and has an album coming out on October 23. John Bonham was the drummer for Led Zeppelin. John Henry Bonham was born May 31, 1948 in Reedited, Worcestershire, England. John started playing drums at the age of five, making a drum set out of containers and coffee tins. At the age of fifteen, John bought his first actual drum set John never took any drum lessons, though he would ask other drummers for advice. John was recruited in 1 968 by Led Zeppelin then manager Peter Grant.

On September 24, 1980, John was picked up by a Led Zeppelin assistant that took him to breakfast, where he downed 16 shots of vodka. After rehearsal, the band slept atheism Page’s house, the next morning, John Bonham was dead of alcohol intoxication, and choked on his own vomit. His death resulted in the split of the band. Jimmy Page was the lead guitarist for Led Zeppelin. James Patrick Page was born on January 9, 1 944 in Weston, Middlesex, England. He was known for being the most influential guitarist in rock and roll history.
