Why Children Should be Paid for Chores
Household chores have been on the to-do list for most children at one time or another; maybe they had to vacuum the house, feed the pets, or babysit a younger sibling. Some parents make the decision to pay their children for doing chores to teach that hard work literally pays off, while others believe that chores are required and children do not deserve a prize for doing what they are expected. However, without rewarding the children in some way for accomplishing their chores, they may soon become obstinate and reluctant to finish their chores at all.
