Example Essay On Helping Others

Helping others can be very rewarding and beneficial to both parties. After going to the Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting and Our Community Place (OCP), I have realized the benefits of helping others and I have gained new perspectives on others. I have also seen how helping others can positively impact one’s own life.

One of the main reasons I wanted to go to the AA meeting and OCP was because I wanted to see how other people in the world are living and what they go through on a daily basis. At first, I was not sure if I would be able to handle hearing people’s stories because I get emotional very easily. However, I decided that it would be a good experience for me to try something new and outside of my comfort zone.

I am so glad that I decided to go to the AA meeting and OCP because I was able to learn so much about other people and their lives. I was also able to see how helping others can be so rewarding. At the AA meeting, I was able to hear people’s stories and learn about their struggles with alcoholism. I was also able to see how happy they were to be sharing their stories and helping others. At OCP, I was able to help serve food to the homeless and talk to them about their lives. I was also able to see how grateful they were for the help that we were giving them.

Seeing how happy and grateful people were when we helped them made me realize how much of a difference we can make in other people’s lives. It also made me realize how good it feels to help others.

While I was there, I came across some fascinating individuals who might not have the greatest lives but know how to make the most of what they’ve got. I felt as though I learned a lot of information and insight about various topics, which made me feel fantastic about being able to assist them. In my life, I’ve overcome numerous hurdles and achieved many objectives, and while looking around at others that were less fortunate than me, I became even more grateful and committed to assisting others.

If you ever have the chance to help others do it, you might be surprised at what you get out of it. Alcoholism is a serious problem that can destroy lives and families. If you know someone who is struggling with alcoholism, there are ways that you can help them. One way is to encourage them to seek help from Alcoholics Anonymous.

AA is a 12-step program that helps people recover from alcoholism. It is a worldwide organization with over 2 million members. AA meetings are held in most communities, and they are open to everyone.

If you are worried about someone you know who is drinking too much, you can talk to them about your concerns. You can also offer to go with them to an AA meeting. Just being there for them and showing your support can make a big difference.

I liked seeing others smile and to make their day a little brighter. I felt great when I saw people happier, and it made my day better. On Sunday night, my roommate and I went to the Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting in Harrisonburg’s Club building with Joseph, one of my friends. The place didn’t appear to be a party venue; instead, it appeared to be a typical building with a lot of vehicles parked outside. If you were passing by, you wouldn’t know it was an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting spot.

We walked into the building and there were a bunch of people in the lobby waiting to go into the meeting. The room was big with a lot of chairs set up like a classroom and people were sitting down talking. My roommate and I sat in the back while Joseph went to talk to his friends that he knows from going to these meetings. After a few minutes, the meeting started and a guy that was leading the meeting said some prayers and talked about what Alcoholics Anonymous is. He talked about how it is a support group for people that are trying to stay away from drinking.

After the guy leading the meeting talked, people started to stand up and talk about their experiences with alcohol and how it has affected their life. Some people talked about how they have been sober for a long time and some people talked about how they have relapsed and are trying to stay sober. It was interesting to hear all of the different stories and how alcohol has affected so many people’s lives in different ways.

After the meeting, my roommate and I talked to Joseph for a little bit and then we left. I was glad that we went to the meeting and it was interesting to see how Alcoholics Anonymous works. It is a good support group for people that are trying to stay sober and it is a place where people can share their experiences with others.

When I walked in, I didn’t expect to find so many average individuals. This place appears to be the type of location you visit when you’re in trouble and have nothing else to do. There were a variety of ages represented among the attendees. The older folks looked to me like they had more difficulty, whereas the younger ones were there because they might have been more interested in what took place during the meetings.

There were people of all races and both genders. The reason I bring this up is because it shows that alcoholism does not discriminate. It does not matter how old you are, what gender you are, or what race you are. If you abuse alcohol it will catch up to you eventually. This is why I think it is important to get help if you think you have a problem with alcohol.

One of the things that I noticed while I was there was that people were very open about their problems. They talked about things that they would never talk about in public. This showed me that they were comfortable with each other and trusted each other.

I think it is important to have trust within a group like this because it helps people feel comfortable enough to open up about their alcoholism. If people are not comfortable talking about their alcoholism then they will not be able to get the help that they need.
