Found guilty of violating NEAR ergs Sold diseased chickens for people to eat Threatened Government inspectors False sales claim to inflate prices Supreme Court ruled in favor Stretcher NEAR was unconstitutional NEAR took too much power away from the states Court Packing Scheme FED Furious! SC denied laws citizens wanted FED to use

FED asked Congress to expand SC from 9 justices to 15, the new six being pro-ND FED misjudged what Americans wanted Americans alarmed at Fads grab for power Feared FED would attack the American Government system FED backed down ‘A switch in time saves nine’ SC shaken by Fads attempt Most Second New Deal measures approved by SC in 1 937 Focus Task! Father Slouching thought the New Deal would not work and this is why he opposed it. Also personally think he did not like FED and that is another reason. Hey Long also opposed the new deal. His reasoning was he thought it wouldn’t do enough to help the poor.
