Personal Narrative: My Trip To Atlanta Essay

We just got off the plane and we are in Atlanta, Georgia. We came from Ohio and it was about an hour and a half to Atlanta. Atlanta is the biggest airport in the U. S. A. They had a big food court and a lot of shops to shop in. We were heading to gat D. We had to take the train, but we had to stop at A, B, C, and then finally, D. We had to go through security and that was the worst part. When we finally got finished with security we waited at our gate. After we got on the plane we took our seats then started to fly.

I loved it when it was going up in the air because it felt like it was a roller coaster and you had that feeling like your belly is hollow. My sister and I watched the movie Pitch Perfect 2. It took about 312hours to get there but it went fast because we were watching a movie. When we finally arrived at Turks and Caicos, a van took us to our resort. The weather was nice and warm but not too hot, just the right temperature. Our family stayed at the Key West Beaches, a six star resort. They had other resorts next to us, so it was like a community with different names.

When we entered the open lobby they immediately gave us drinks and wet towels. The landscaping was really pretty and looked very islandy. When we finished signing in, the maid took us to our room. It wasn’t like an inside hotel, it is outside but of course we had roofs over our head. Our suite was very neat and clean. The suite had a full kitchen with a loaded fridge including pop, water, juice, champagne, wine, and beer. It had a coffee machine, glasses, a dishwasher, an oven, and a full sink. It also had a full bathroom including a vanity. The suite included a washer and a dryer. It had a balcony with a table and two lounge chairs.

The living room had a flat screen T. V. with an Xbox 360 with two controllers. We had a wonderful view of the ocean where you could see people sailing and parasailing. The first thing we did was walk on the beach and ate at 1 of the 21 restaurants. There food was so good. Especially the seafood. The second day we looked around and saw 30 shops and 21 restaurants. After lunch we went to the beach. The ocean was beautiful. The color of the ocean was a light blue. It looked like a big swimming pool and not an ocean. Even when you are looking down with your head above water you can see everything. We collected a lot of pretty shells.

We decided to spend the full day at the beach and it was so much fun. When you got thirsty you could go and get a smoothie and pay the bill when you leave the resort. We mostly spent our time in the water. When it was getting evening I was looking for more seashells and started to see a group of fish coming. I saw all kinds of fish. At first it startled me because I thought I was going to step on them but then after a few moments I realized they couldn’t hurt me. I swam underwater with them and it was a lot of fun. They would move on direction and then all the sudden they will switch direction.

It was fun trying to keep up with them. Once the sun set, we decided to go back to our room. They had a big chess board and the pons and the other pieces were the size of our legs. Our dad and mom taught us how to play chess. Then we called it a night after we went to dinner. One day we decided to go snorkeling. We were waiting for our boat to come and pick us up then it started to rain and thunder storm but it wasn’t really that bad. Then it went away and the boat came. They changed the beach flag to yellow so thats means to be careful out there and be cautious.

We got all geared up with our mask, flippers, and our life jackets, but we didn’t blow our life jackets up unless if we had too. Then they took us out to the coral reef and the water changed from light blue to dark blue. Turks and Caicos has the third largest coral barrier reef in the world. Then they let us out of the boat to snorkel one by one. When it was our turn we just jumped in. We had to fix our mask and then we started to swim away from the boat. The water was the right temperature. There were a lot of neat fish and the plants were really cool. My favorite part was when we went under water and got up close to the fish and plants.

I could stay underwater longer than some other people because I’m a good swimmer and I know how to hold my breath for a long time. It was so cool! We even saw an octopus. It was a medium size and we saw a lobster hiding under a rock from us. But, all the sudden the storm came back but this time it was worse. The waves picked up a little, s were rocking back and fourth. It was so cool to experience it. After our time was up we headed back to the beach. We decided to go back to our room. We got some new clothes to wear over our bathing suits. Then my parents headed off to a party and my sister and I went to Pirate Park.

It had a water park, an Xbox lounge with all the Xboxes, including Xbox One. They had a restaurant called Bobby Dee’s. They had a place where you can play pool, ping pong, etc. We went to the waterpark and we did some surfing and that’s where we learned how to surf. Finally, we went for dinner at Bobby Dee’s restaurant and their food was excellent. They make the largest cotton candy ever. Its the last day and we went to a beach party. While we were watching the performance, I was thinking how much fun we had these past eight days. I would like to stay for two weeks when we come back next summer. I can’t wait!
