Personal Narrative Essay On Boxing And Boxing

“Jab” “jab” “uppercut” in the boxing gym with my coach Jonathan training me for my fight on Saturday not just any fight it was the Scottish district fight the finals which I reached to with hard work and pain. “keep going you need to be able to keep fit for Saturday jay son” said Jonathan I was so tried after studying all night for exams and going to the gym.

I was interested in Bodybuilding more than I was for boxing, but boxing was necessary after that night when I got attacked by a local gang when I was only 11 years old the revenge has been running and boiling through my blood since these 4 years it something that has to be done, stabbed at the age of 11 is unbelievable I always get flashbacks and could still feel the blade going through my finger that fact it was meant to go through my head until I put my hand out and saved myself.

I wasn’t able to do anything I ran towards my house as they chased me my own friends watched me get stabbed, finally I got away from them at this point I had lost a lot of blood and was feeling really dizzy my dad had phoned the police and took me to hospital the police never arrived surprisingly, this is when I got really irritated and offended so the next morning I was ready to join boxing I didn’t want to let my parents know because my dad and mum don’t agree with violence and they would never of let me go after what just happened so I told them I’m going to football at ibrox complex ,but I was actually going to bellahouston to start my journey with boxing learning how to defend my self when I got there I asked at the reception if I could get form to fill in for boxing under 12s she gave me it and I filled it faster then Usain bolt breaking the world record I waited for the coach to come out after finishing his session to speak to him and once he had came out it was late but I still got a few words with him, I asked him “excuse me coach I would like to join your boxing club please I have filled the form already” he replied “that’s excellent son ill see you next week” This is my fourth year with coach Jonathan and the club and I have won titles I would never have dreamed of winning, my coach has gave me so much to learn from he has thought me how to become a man.

The day finally came, the day every one in the club was waiting for most of my coach, me and him have worked so hard to get here it was the Scottish district title this title meant I was the under 16s champion in Scotland and it put me through to the tournament in Italy which was for the under 16s world champion. My hands were getting wrapped slowly in a soft bandage over the bandage were the padded gloves, as I was getting ready I could hear the crowd I could feel my nerves also kicking in so I started to shadow box trying to keep calm.

It was time the scout came and said it time for me to enter the ring walking through a single file all eyes staring at me I could hear my name “jayyy!! ” “jayyy!! ” “jayyy!! ” as I got closer and closer to the ring I was getting more and more nervous but when I got onto the ring I looked at my opponent carefully he was looking frightened, maybe it was the fact I was in really good shape because I also go gym and boxing he was a bit overweight. We were all just waiting for the bell to ring and to end my opponents journey here. This ring was the only place I felt powerful in, adrenaline running through my body, a ring surrounded by a big crowd I was eager to win for all of us.

“DING!! ” “DING!! ” “DING!! ” The wait was over guarding myself waiting for my opponent to make a mistake “bang! He hit me in the arm this was the moment I was waiting for, he forgot to guard his self after his punch , I gave him an “uppercut” that was him on the floor all the crowd went silent not a single drop as you could hear the head hitting off the floor of the ring and all I could hear was the painful groan. “1” “2” “3” “4” “5” “6” the crowd started cheering again as he got up I thought that was him over and done but he wanted more pain. I was just thinking of my next move as he approached me.

Hit after hit it was just a bloody game now my best combination was a left jab followed by a right cross, and then a left hook, the tension was created then I seen the right moment to strike my opponent with a haymaker “boom! ” I knew myself and the judge’s knew he would never get back up after that my coach and the judge’s looked shocked “This can’t be true” said the opponents coach “what a hit” said Jonathan “1” … “9” “10” “he’s done it yesss!! That was the best moment I had experienced in my life so far.

It wasn’t over yet my coach had gave me a lift to the McDonald’s near my house when I seen the gang that had stabbed me at the age off 11 this was the right moment for my revenge ” come here you ya pak*” said one of them I said “look leave me alone or you will regret it ” next thing you know one of them hit me from the back with a baseball bat I fell towards the pavement I said to myself “you can’t be having this fear every day” and got back up and grabbed the bat and threw it and took 5 of them on I knocked 3 of them out and 2 had ran away after seen that from that day I have never seen them near my area. revenge is beautiful.
