“Yes! ” said Elizabeth it was midnight, but she could not sleep. She was a pretty girl, with golden brown hair, and bluish-turquoise eyes. She turned 14 just a month ago. She was a very aggressive for a 14 year old . It was her very first mission tomorrow she thought. Though she was excited, somewhere inside her she had a feeling of guilt like she was doing something wrong. “Are you even going to sleep tonight? ” yawned Annabeth. She was Elizabeth’s best friend.
She too was a beautiful girl, with blonde hair, and eyes just like Elizabeth’s, just a little lighter in color. “Chase is already asleep,” said Annabeth, closing her eyes “how are you going to go on your first mission, if you never wake up? ” “ Okay,” sighed Elizabeth, her voice echoing throughout the room, only after a moment or two you could hear her snoring. It was a small room with the main things superhumans needed, protein bites, recharging beds, fast wash bathrooms, and glucose drinks. Beep!
Beep! , Beep! Beep! rang the alarm. It was 5:30 am in the morning. Elizabeth woke up with start. “It’s morning! ” she shouted. Her shout woke up both Annabeth and Chase. “How did you wake up on your own today and why so early? ” asked Chase yawning “It is her first mission today, silly,” said Annabeth smiling, still feeling kind of a sleepy. “Oh, right,”said Chase, starting to lay down “Hey, wake up! ”said Elizabeth getting out of bed. In about an hour everyone got ready and helped Elizabeth to pack.
After they were done Elizabeth and the others, still had an hour till the morning meeting,also referred to as the MM, and then Elizabeth was to go to her mission. All friend’s horse played for a while and then went for the MM. The MM, like everyday announced the rules of the academy, like no one go out without permission and always listen to people who are level higher to you and always show respect for the Elders who control the academy and keep a watch on what each and every superhuman does and many more.
Elizabeth and her friends found these very boring and talked to each other in their very special mind language, they talked to each other with their minds,they had to think of something and then, that thing will appear in the other person’s mind if they thought hard on who to send it to. It sometimes used to go to another person and that person looked confused, but except for that it was an amazing way to communicate. After the meeting was over Elizabeth was told by one of the Elders to follow him. Elizabeth said a quick bye to her friends and raced on behind him.
He took her to a room. Elizabeth was kind of shocked the ways the Elder took her to the room, she had been in the academy since she was born, for 14 years and never noticed these ways, she then wondered how many other things she didn’t notice. “Have a seat,” the Elder said. Elizabeth noticed that now they were in a room and and there were two more Elders in there. They all had a serious look on their face like they were going to attack her and were just waiting for the right time.
“So what is my mission? And do I get a new mission suit ? Or at least a new weapon? ”asked Elizabeth all at once. “Yes,”said the tallest one among the three Elders. “Today is going to be your first-”before she could complete a man dressed in, what appeared to be a soldier costume, appeared. He looked suspiciously at Elizabeth. Before she could say something, he said, now looking at the Elders “Something is really wrong with Harshita’s mission, we need all the help we can, our se-”Elizabeth was confused, of what the man meant when he said gone wrong with Harshita’s mission.
Though Harshita had never been very nice to Elizabeth, she was kind of worried about her. “We are kind of busy-”said the Elder who brought Elizabeth here “It is urgent! ”the man yelled, now catching his breath “Okay”said the lady who was talking to Elizabeth earlier, she was now looking very serious she turned to the other two Elders “Mr Green and Mr Lyson, if you would please go with Peter and, check what the problem is, I would join you in about five minutes,” said the lady “Sound good to me, Mrs. Lity”said Mr Lyson as he, Mr Green and the man named Peter disappeared into thin air.
Elizabeth was not surprised by the Elder and the man disappearing, these things kept happening in the academy. In the academy they called it disairating. Mrs. Lity then turned to Elizabeth, her expression was calm again. “Elizabeth, dear since there in an unfortunate problem, I will cut this short for you, and explain things later. ”she finished.
“Okay,” said Elizabeth quickly, understanding the problem “If you look to your right their is a bed, pretty similar to the ones in your room,” said Mrs. Lity “If, you lay down there, than you will automatically change into your new mission suit, and get a weapon that suits your style” “Alright,” said Elizabeth “but, what is my mission? ” “Here,” said Mrs Lity giving Elizabeth,what looked like an electronic monkey “What is this? ”said Elizabeth “This will guide you and take you to your mission area when you touch his head, then you just need to destroy the humans who try come across the border line. ” said Mrs. Lity and with that she desired. Elizabeth quickly went and layed down on the bed.
Her new mission suit was purple and yellow and she got a huge bronze sword which was a little heavy for her. Then she slowly touched the monkey’s head, it sprang into life and jumped on the ground. Elizabeth followed as the monkey ran out some doors, though she did not have any super speed she was a fast runner. When they actually came out of the academy, there was not a single sound except for the sound of the wind blowing. The monkey kept moving forward. Elizabeth noticed that the roads were empty and not even a single person could be seen.
She slowly moved forward, making sure she doesn’t make too much noise. After, about five to ten minutes Elizabeth saw someone at distance. As she moved forward, she could see the figure of a young man. He looked a little older than Elizabeth, he had messy brown hair and blackish-brown eyes. He looked like he hadn’t had food for a while. As Elizabeth moved forward she asked, “Who are you? ” “I am Jonas, and you are Elizabeth, I suppose”the boy replied. His voice was creaky “How do you know my name? said Elizabeth tightening her grip at her sword.
But before he could reply he fell on the ground. “Are you alright? ” asked Elizabeth, still a little nervous “I am fine,” Jonas said getting up as Elizabeth gave him a hand. “It keeps happening, don’t worry”protein bites “Here, drink some” said Elizabeth politely giving him a super energy glucose drink from her pouch. She didn’t know how it would help but she thought he would feel better. “Thanks” said Jonas slowly taking the drink. As he drank it, he looked better. “Follow me,” he said.
