Immigration, Abortion, Terrorism, and Vegetarianism

This part of the topic Is presumably unclear. Furthermore, we are confident that the united States is not only overpopulated but are suffering other consequences such as high unemployment and serious water pollution. In this section, there are many words that have obscure and unclear meanings. What is ‘overpopulation’ for a country? How are Americans suffering from the consequences? It is also undefined the seriousness of the water pollution. Are there dangerous toxins in the water? Is it filled with garbage and sewage? In conclusion, there are many words and phrases in the author’s article that need clarifying.

Chapter 6 Conclusion: Women should have the right to have an abortion If they desire to. 1 . Women should have the right for personal and health reasons. 2. Women should have control over what happens to her body. What links the reasons to the conclusion is positivist placed on the motives behind why women should have the right to get an abortion if they desire to. A prescriptive assumption is made, stating how the world should be. A missing link within the article that this author has written Is religion’s Impact on abortion. Many religions believe that abortion is gravely contrary to the moral law.

In general, it’s not one’s actual government law that prohibits abortion, rather than one’s religion. An assumption is also made stating that many women are denied abortions, and therefore suffer negative and financial consequences. Any woman seeking medical help regarding abortion will receive It, hence why we have created abortion clinics. Chapter 7 Conclusion: Countries that harbor the United States must be considered enemies of 1 OFF 1 . Any country that does not relinquish terrorists to the American Justice system is clearly on the side of the terrorists. 2. Leaders of these countries do not wish to see justice done to the terrorists. . They care more about hiding murderers, rapists, thieves, and anti-democrats. This passage proves as a solid example of glittering generality. Bill, one of the two speakers in this reading, uses ambiguous emotionally appealing words that position us to support something without closely inspecting the reasons. Generally speaking, he uses words such as these leaders’, these sorts of actions’ and ‘any country. He isn’t providing any specific facts such as which countries are actually harboring terrorists and which leaders support such actions. His few examples appear very broad and he lacks concrete evidence to prove his facts’.

The second speaker, Taylor, critically replies to his statement saying, “That’s the kind of argument that I would expect from someone who has relatives who have worked for the CIA. ” Rather than directly addressing Bill’s reasons, she attacks his statement. Tailor’s reply to Bill is use of the ad hominid fallacy. Chapter 8 Conclusion: Vegetarianism is healthier than eating meat. Reason: Many new restaurants and businesses focus on vegetarian options and menu items. How much should we depend on the appeal that vegetarianism is healthier than meat? No evidence is revealed nor is it proven that vegetarianism is healthier than tatting meat.

The claim is inadequately supported by solid evidence. It is claimed that there are studies outlining the various advantages that being vegetarian has over eating meat, but no disadvantages are sourced, which one can essentially assume considering how natural eating meat is for humans. The appeals to authority are also not strong: Who exactly conducted studies stating the various advantages of vegetarianism opposed to eating meat? Until proper investigation is made regarding vegetarianism and its true benefits over meat eating, these statements should not conclude that eating vegetarian is better.
