History of Likuni CCAP

Its white color makes it eye-catching and many have been impressed by it but it did not start UT this way in 1969. It was born out of a prayer meeting. People from surrounding areas used to come together to pray at a certain place. This prayer gathering was run by Allowing CAP. They met at a primary school called Liking Boys Primary School. Never would have there been a prayer gathering at the school had it not been that some of the people who came to the prayer meetings were not from the school. This however did not signify that their being there was going to be a smooth one, it had rough times.

They could only meet only when the students of the place were present but not after they went back to their respective homes. When God says yes, nobody can say no, during the time when the students were not around they found a Chisels tree were they continued the work of God. In 1971, something happened. God moved them from one glory to another, from a classroom to another place called Photo by the local people. There was a first church elder and his name was Mr.. Means. Because many people kept coming and the membership increased, they wanted it to be a mission station.

This could not happen because the land at Photo was way too small to accommodate such a big project of a mission station. God could not allow His vision for the people t Liking to be rendered unattainable. God used Traditional Authority Mail to accomplish His purposes. He gave them land for free in 1978. The land was 16 acres, fit enough to accomplish God’s mission. At the occurrence of this, the Momma Synod had no choice than to provide money for the building of the Church. There was opposition from inside the Momma Synod as certain churches could not allow such development.

Still more, other parties wanted to take part, like the Dutch Reformed Church. They were based in South Africa in Pretoria, and sent SKI 7, 000 that is a lot of money today. The money ever reached the church for it was inappropriately used by an unfriendly group. When what was hoped for did not take place, resentment started to arise. The land was available, but the resources needed to achieve the intended goal were not. It even reached an extent at which people started building their houses on the land.

For example, Headman Managing lost faith that a church will ever be built and sold the land to a businessman. The businessman wanted to build a bar on a land that God wanted to use for His glory. God was still on their side for Traditional Authority Goodbye Mail ended a hand to help them still own the land. In turn, Managing was brought down but was later restored to his former state after punishment. A long lasting project was started on the land, a primary school. It is there up to date and it is called Chewing in memory of Goodbye Chewing the TA The road to meet the mark for my church was not easy.

Starting from the people themselves, they were not willing to take part in the building of the Church. When God has started something, nobody can hinder it from progressing. Two men of valor arose, and their names were Mr.. Stephan Mansard and Mr.. Sense. They were church leaders and were active in their line of work. The money needed for the most part of the building process was funded by them. When it was nearing completion, two other elders, Mr.. Samuel and Mr.. Jump in seeing what the other elders were doing assisted in the finishing of the work.

After its completion, Reverend Salomon from Chemical CAP officially opened it in 1992. This took place after he was transferred from Monomaniacs CAP. This Reverend made promises that he was going to facilitate the development of the resident pastor. Positions from 1993 started being taken by people. Reverend G. R. Kowalski who came from Monomaniacs became the visiting clergy. Following this, in 1994 Mr.. F. J. Commit took the position of a session clerk. In 1996, committees were selected for the running of the Church. Mr..

Sense, a church elder was the first treasurer, Reverend Kamikaze became the then visiting Clergy after Reverend Kowalski. In the year 1998, Reverend G. R. Selenga became the resident clergy; unfortunately, in the year 2000, he did not finish his term because he was attacked by armed robbers. There then came Reverend Akimbo who became the visiting clergy from 2000-2002 followed by Reverend Sass from 2003 up until 2008. Reverend Assist took over in 2008 from Reverend Sass and handed over to Reverend H. B. Momma in 2011 who is the current clergy up to date.

Liking CAP is expanding like never before. A number Of projects are taking place, prayer houses are expanding like nobody’s business. Kale and Kate in Chainsaw are developing and the people are demanding ownership of the place. My Church is organized in a way that it is for religious, charitable works, educational implementation, philanthropic and benevolent reasons. All religious undertakings in my church take place in order to glorify God. We endow believers with the knowledge so that they should go out and impact people through works like charitable works.

For this is their duty to serve God. We want all people who come to our Church be set forth in the path of holiness. We also spread the gospel to the nations of the world. Not all that was planned for took place. Still more, plans for the future are there. They want to build a mission hospital to provide healing to those in need of it, start a poultry farm to assist both the church and the community itself, build a maize mill, a nursery school, a secondary school and owning a Church minibus are the main ones.
