Changing The World Essays

The United States has changed for the worse in recent years. Society has become more divided, and there is a sense of mistrust and suspicion among many people. The economy has also suffered, with job losses and rising costs making life harder for many families. These problems have led to a feeling of insecurity and anxiety in the United States, and it seems that things are only getting worse.

The world has gotten far worse. Humans are wreaking havoc on our society. The economy is declining at a rapid rate. Our crime rates are growing by the day. Our society is falling apart due to racism. Several changes have occurred in our society, and it is changing for the worse.

United States is the worst place to live in. We have the most problems and our society is declining rapidly. Our government doesn’t care about us. They’re only interested in themselves and their own power. Society is falling apart and it’s only going to get worse. We need to wake up and realize what’s happening before it’s too late. United States is no longer the land of opportunity. It’s the land of greed, corruption, and decline. We need to stand up and make a change before it’s too late.

Several reasons are to blame for the USA’s decline in economy. Human Resources specialist Kurtz states that people earning minimum wage cannot make enough money to cover their expenses. From November 2013 through January 2014, Wal-mart was seeing low sales and profit due to food stamp cuts by government and winter storms forcing them to close a few times.

When Wal-mart makes less money, it means that society as a whole is not doing well. If people can’t afford to buy things from the largest retailer in the world, then how are they going to make ends meet? Another large company, J.C. Penney is also struggling. J.C. Penney had to close 33 stores in 2013 and will be closing an additional 40 to 50 stores in 2014 (Petersen). This is just another example of how society is not doing well as a whole when even big name retailers are struggling to stay afloat.

The United States has been through a lot lately with two wars, multiple natural disasters, and a recession. The United States is $17 trillion dollars in debt, and the government has been shut down multiple times in the past few years ( United States National Debt Clock). It seems like something new is happening every day that is making the world worse. Society has become more violent with school shootings becoming more common. There was a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado and another at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Both of these shootings were carried out by young men who were mentally unstable. In addition to school shootings, there has been an increase in mass shootings in general. A mass shooting is defined as four or more people being shot in one incident. According to FBI statistics, there have been 160 mass shootings since 2006 (Younge). This is a startling number, and it seems like these shootings are becoming more and more common.

The United States is not the only country that is struggling. Countries all over the world are in debt and having a hard time. Greece is one of the countries that is struggling the most. Greece is so far in debt that they had to be bailed out by the European Union (EU) multiple times. The EU is made up of 28 countries that use the Euro as their currency. Greece has been dealing with riots, and people are extremely unhappy with the government.

The government has had to put into place austerity measures, which have caused a lot of unrest. Austerity measures are cuts to public spending, and they typically include things like cutting pensions, salaries, and social benefits (Blyth). These cuts have caused a lot of people to lose their jobs, and the unemployment rate in Greece is extremely high.

It is easy to see that the world has changed for the worse. There are many factors that contribute to this, and it seems like things are only going to get worse before they get better. It is important to stay informed and be aware of what is going on in the world so that you can be prepared for anything that might happen.

Walmart plans to lay off around 2,300 employees from Sam’s Club locations across the United States (Kurtz). According to the White House’s own figures, the national debt is projected to reach $20.0 trillion by the end of this decade—which would be about 140% of our current gross domestic product (US Economic Outlook). To pay down the national debt, taxpayers will likely see their taxes increase.

The United States society has become more corrupt. Large businesses have taken over and the little man is getting pushed around. The world has changed for the worse and it seems that it will continue to do so. (Durden)

Though it has improved in recent years, crime is still a problem that plagues our society. According to the Minnesota Daily, as of 2008, 2.3 million people were incarcerated in the United States alone. This equates to 1 out of every 100 adults being behind bars today. What’s more, dead bodies and murders have become such commonplace news stories that they scarcely make headlines anymore. Just yesterday my mom was walking through the park when…

As she was walking she found a dead body. This shows that society has not changed for the better, in fact it has gotten worse. United States is not the only place with these problems, but also Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, and many other countries are having similiar issues. In El Salvador, the murder rate is so high that the life expectancy has decreased (The New York Times). These statistics show that the world has definitely changed for the worse.

Some people would say that world has improved because of all the new technology we have now. They would say that because we can communicate with anyone in any country through social media or email, we have more opportunities to get an education and jobs. While this might be true, it doesn’t negate the fact that society has become more violent.

With all the new technology, people have found new ways to commit crimes. For example, cyber-bullying and identity theft are becoming more and more common. So even though we have all this new technology, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the world has changed for the better. In fact, you could argue that it has made things worse.

So overall, the world has changed for the worse because of the increase in crime rates. Even though we have new technology, it hasn’t made things better, and in some ways has made things worse. Society is not as safe as it used to be, and this is a problem that needs to be addressed.
