Everyone has a chapter in their life they dont read aloud, maybe its just dark and too deep to get into. We all have a dark side, even the heros and the good guys. In fact theres this hero, Bilbo, who has a dark side of his own. There are many protagonists and antagonists in The Hobbit, but lets face it, the only real problem and solution is the main character, Bilbo himself. Throughout the book, there are multiple ways all these sides of Bilbo are shown; the attack from the spiders, escaping the goblins, and helping the dwarves. The ring saved Bilbos life so he could return to the dwarves and help the, get their kingdom back. “Slipping in and out of the shadows of the trees, running quick and quiet, and keeping out of the sun; so soon they went back grumbling and cursing to guard the door.
