Abortion: The Solution.

The streets of Ireland are overpopulated with beggars and their children. As a result, Jonathan Swift proposed mother’s sell their children to be ate. Swift says his proposal will reduce the country overpopulation and keep the children from becoming a burden on their parent’s. However, Swifts proposal does not focus on ways to benefit the mother’s In these dire straits; therefore, the mother’s should choose abortion opposed to cannibalism.

Abortion unlike cannibalism helps mothers in dire straits reduce their risk of depression, minimize their financial burdens of parenthood, and allows them to actively participate in the deduction of the population. Unlike cannibalism, which Increases the mothers risk of depression, abortion reduces the risk of depression since the mother does not carry the child to full term which allows her to avoid developing a relationship with her child. Abortions are usually done during the first trimester of pregnancy. The first trimester of pregnancy

Is anywhere from one to three months ,Welch Is not enough time for the mother to develop a relationship with her child since the child is not fully developed. The child is barely beginning to form body parts, does not have a heart-beat, and is not moving In his or her mother’s stomach during the first trimester. The mother will not develop a relationship with the child since she never sees an ultrasound of the child, never hears the child’s heart-beat, and never feels the child moving around in her stomach, because it is like the child never existed.

On the other hand, a mother who chooses cannibalism spends a year raising the child before selling It. Swift states in his proposal that the children of beggars are the healthiest at the age of one because all they eat is breast milk the preceding months. When the mother spends a year raising the child she will develop a relationship, which increases her risk of depression. The mother increases her risk of depression by spending time with the child, feeding the child, and taking care of the child.

When a mother plays with her child, cooks for her hill, takes her child to the doctor for necessary shots, provides her child with clothes, and teaches her child new things she forms a relationship with her child. Spending the first year with her child makes the mother reluctant to sell the child, and once she does sell her child she will be depressed because she Is used to spending time with the child. If a mother in dire straits chooses abortion then she will minimize her financial burdens of parenthood while she is unemployed and receiving government assistance.

Mother’s In dire straits receiving government assistance get the same amount of money each month. The amount of money the mother receives does not increase when she has a baby. Keeping a child while in a dire strait burdens the mother financially since she has to provide for the child. Children need clothes, food, protection. If the mother barely has enough money to provide clothes, food, and shelter for herself then she will not have enough money to provide those necessities for her child. In addition, a child has to go to the doctor to and get shots to make sure hey are healthy and growing properly.

Mother’s in dire straits do not have enough money to pay for doctor visits so there is a higher risk that the child will become ill and die. Swift says, “There is a prodigious number of children born of professed beggars who are not able to support them. ” However, if the mother chooses abortion then she will not have to worry about taking care of the child. Furthermore, abortion allows the mother’s to actively participate in the deduction of the population in Ireland by reducing the number of children born to beggars ACH year.

Ireland has become overpopulated with beggars and their children. “The streets, the roads, and the cabin-doors are overcrowded with beggars of the female sex, followed by three, four or six children,” says Swift. Abortion will reduce the number of children crowding the country street. Mother’s are actively participating by reducing the number of children they have. In conclusion, mothers in dire straits should choose abortion opposed to cannibalism since abortion benefits them in multiple ways.

Abortion reduces the risk f depression, minimizes the mother’s financial burdens, and allows the mother to actively participate in the deduction of the population. The risk of depression is reduced since the mother does not carry the baby to full term and can abort as early as two weeks. Financial burdens of the mother are minimized because she does not have to worry about coming up with extra money to take care of the child. Lastly the mother is actively participating in the deduction of population in the crowded streets of Ireland. Abortion has positive effects unlike cannibalism which has negative effects.

First cannibalism increases the risk of depression of depression since the mother spends a year raising the child and becomes attached. Second cannibalism maximizes the mother’s financial burden by causing them to stress about extra money they need to provide for the child. Third the mother is contributing to the overpopulation in Ireland. Mother’s in dire straits who choose abortion are not depressed, not stressing about the need to make extra money, or contributing to the overpopulation of the country. In summary mother’s choosing abortion have a better chance at livelihood.
