abortion

Abortion Since Roe V. Wade, in 1973, over 48 million choices have been made that have resulted in the deaths of unborn children. Currently abortion worldwide kills more people every 2 months than the Holocaust did in 12 years. The 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade made it possible for women to get safe, legal abortions from well-trained medical practitioners. This led to dramatic decreases in pregnancy- related injury and death. The US Supreme Court then introduced the ‘right-to-privacy law on abortion, discussing that a woman has rights to an abortion depending on her current pregnancy trimester.

This began major problems for the American nation they divided into groups known as Pro-Choice and Pro Life, which spread worldwide for people to sound their own beliefs on abortion. The level of anti- abortion violence began once the decision was made by the Supreme Court. The violence escalated increasing clinic bombings, physical attacks, and murders endangering the abortion providers this created a hostile environment for women who were involved or thinking about getting abortions.

In abortion there is controversial issue such as procedures, cost, and physical and mental health that thousands of American women face every day. The exact cost and procedures of an abortion depends on many factors; such as how far along she is during the pregnancy, which procedure is being applied, and the kind of facility (clinic, physicians, office, or hospital). At six and ten weeks gestation can expect to pay about $350 at an abortion clinic and $500 at a physician’s office.

At 16 weeks gestation, abortion clinics generally charge around $650 and physicians’ offices generally charge around $700. As she progresses through the pregnancy, the cost will increase. After 20 weeks, she should expect to pay around $1,000 at the least if not several thousand dollars. Many women travel to an abortion done by the right sergeant, so traveling cost would need to be included in the total as well. Abortion comes with enormous risks for women, risks theyre often spoken about. There are other costs, which the abortion advocates rarely mention.

Women might end up paying for their abortion in a number of other ways, whether they have to open their wallet or not. Although abortion doesn’t Just cost women financially it also costs them mentally as well. Pre-existing factors in a woman’s life, such as emotional attachment to the pregnancy abortion and the physical health risks increase the likelihood of xperiencing negative feelings after an abortion. Depending on how many weeks or months that abortion has been applied depends on the physical health risks or side effects.

Examples are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, spotting and bleeding is during the first 2 to 4 weeks. Mental health risks are guilt, anxiety, psychological numbing, depression thoughts of suicide, and the abuse of alcohol and drugs. These risks are faced once the abortion is preceded. The physical health risks are damaging of the body from the torn cervix, and the list continues. Whenever you come to the conclusion of abortion, it will always be a downside to t. This is the primary reason why society cannot agree on this sensitive and emotional issue.

With me being a female also, I understand why a woman would want to have an abortion. Becoming pregnant on accident and wishing you weren’t is probably the worst feeling a woman can have. Knowing that if you brought a child into this world and didn’t want it is such a heart-breaking way to start off. You and the un-born child would be so much better off to terminate the pregnancy and wait for an appropriate time. It is terrible that abortion steals unborn lives, but its best for the parents and the child.
